THE HIGH SCHOOL VOLUNTEER PROGRAM'S WAITING LIST IS NOW CLOSED AS OF MAY 22,2026.
Note that you would receive an email if you made the list as of May 22, 2026.
The next round of High School volunteers will be in the Fall of 2026. You are welcome to join the list now BUT NOTE that we will NOT contact anyone until the next Information Session is scheduled- date is tentative.
Reminder that volunteer opportunities are limited to what the hospital needs and openings are.
Instructions to join the Waiting List are:
- Student must be 16 years of age to be on the list. Verification will be required.
- Send email to: volunteer_services@washingtonhealth.com with the following information:
- Subject line to read potential Volunteer's name
- In the body of the email please add the following:
- Student Name
- Current grade at time of email and school name that student attends (IF YOU ARE IN YOUR SENIOR YEAR, please do NOT apply as the onboarding process is long). Please join our college volunteer program after you graduate High School.
- Cell number
- Email address
Once the waiting list is at capacity, it will be closed. Then an invite for the Prospective Volunteer Information session will be sent depending on volunteer needs at Washington Health.

Must fill out our preliminary on-line New Volunteer Application Form
- Please keep in mind that this is NOT THE ACTUAL APPLICATION. This simply uploads your data into the Volunteer Information Center.
- You will need to fill out a hard copy application which can be obtained from the Volunteer Services office at 2500 Mowry Ave, Suite 100, Fremont, CA 94538 510.818.7465
- Office Hours are Monday to Friday 10:00am to 4:30pm unless otherwise stated
- One-time non-refundable application fee of $20 charged at time of picking up the Volunteer Application Packet for approved high schoolers and college application requests.
