Washington Health Rebrands as Washington Health

Washington Health Rebrands as Washington Health

Washington Health is proud to announce the beginning of a phased brand transition to Washington Health. The new brand better reflects Washington’s evolution from a community hospital to a health system with a hospital, medical group, ambulatory care sites, and award-winning specialty services in trauma, orthopedics, neurosurgery, cardiovascular surgery, oncology, maternal and child health, and neonatal intensive care. The health system has also refreshed its mission, vision, and values with the new name and the tagline Embracing Care.

“This transformative moment honors our evolution to an integrated health system while preserving our commitment to the community as an independent, community-based provider,” said Kimberly Hartz, chief executive officer. “The new identity represents the seamless integration of our services and aligns with our mission, vision, and values, ensuring every interaction reflects our dedication to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care.”

Mission: Deliver exceptional, accessible, and personalized care to enhance the health and well-being of our diverse community.

Vision: Be the trusted first choice for care, where everyone does their best work.

Values: Excellence | Patient-Centered Care | Compassion | Respect | Integrity

The new brand represents the continuum of care and the unity of the integrated health system, with different sizes, colors, and curves reflecting the diversity of the community. The logo also conveys a dynamic, forward-thinking organization continuously advancing care and providing advanced treatment, close to home. The colors honor the history and community roots while evoking calmness, renewal, and a fresh perspective on health.

“Washington was established to provide health care locally, when no other providers existed and residents had to travel for care. Our mission to provide exceptional care, close to home continues through our ongoing efforts to bring innovative, advanced care to the community,” added Hartz. “Our roots run deep, from our humble beginnings as the only hospital proudly serving our community, to the comprehensive health system that meets the diverse health needs of our community today and into the future.”

Reimagining Washington Health included representation from patients, employees, physicians, volunteers, and the community. The Washington Health name and logo will be implemented across Washington locations over time.

About Washington Health

Washington Health is governed by the publically elected Washington Township Health Care District Board. Unlike a municipal or county hospital, Washington Health’s operating expenses, research, community programs, and employee salaries are funded by revenues generated through providing patient and other health care services. Opened in 1958, Washington Health has grown to include a 415-bed, acute care hospital; the Bell Neuroscience Institute of Silicon Valley; the Institute for Joint Restoration and Research; Washington Outpatient Surgery Center; Washington Outpatient Rehabilitation Center; Washington Health Medical Group; and Washington West, a complex which houses UCSF-Washington Cancer Center, Washington Women’s Center, Outpatient Imaging Center, and additional outpatient hospital services and administrative facilities.
